Am 16. August 2000 fliegen wir von Vancouver (Canada) nach Deutschland und zwei Tage später nach Bangkok. Tags drauf fliegen wir nach Phuket weiter und kommen am Nachmittag an unserem Strand an. Schon am 7.9.2000 wird der Grundstein für unsere Häuschen am Bang Niang Beach gelegt. Laut Vertrag sollten beide Bungalows am 15.12. bezugsfertig sein. Doch es dauert bis Ende Januar. Nach einer Recherchetour durch den Norden Thailands ziehen wir Anfang März 2001 endlich ein. Richards Vater Paul, inzwischen 80 Jahre alt/jung, ist unser erster Gast. Er kommt aus dem Staunen über unsere zwei schönen Häuser kaum heraus. Derweilen macht Richard im Internet einen Buchungs-Service für die einfacheren Bungalowanlagen und Resorts von Khao Lak. Dieser wird zu einem solch unglaublichen Erfolg, dass Richard schon im Januar einen Mitarbeiter anheuern muss. Viele hundert Gäste - vor allem Familien und mehrere Paare - fanden durch unsere Homepage ihren Traumbungalow in Thailand.				On August 16, 2000, we fly from Vancouver (Canada) to Germany and two days later to Bangkok. The next day we fly to Phuket and arrive at our beach in the afternoon. On September 7, a very auspicious day, the foundations for our bungalows are laid. The contractor has promised to have the bungalows ready by December 15. But it takes until the end of January, before they are ready. In March, after our research tour to the north of Thailand we move in. Our first guest is Richards father Paul Doring. He is very impressed about our houses and would love to stay longer.  In the meantime Richard programs an internet booking service for many of the resorts in the Khao Lak area. It becomes such a success that he has to find a partner in January already to cope with the demand. Many hundred guests from Europe - mainly families and groups of couples - find their dream bungalow in Thailand through our homepage.

Dream Beach Villas
		Zwei hübsche Häuschen am Strand auf 80 cm hohen Pfählen. Die Wände wurden auf einer Betonplattform aus Stein gebaut, der Dachstuhl aus Holz gezimmert und die Böden mit schönen Keramikkacheln sauber gefliest. Zur Dekoration verwendeten wir viel Bambusmatten, Holz und Ziersteine.
	We built two picturesque little houses right on the beach. On a raised concrete platform we erected the walls mainly with stones, the carpentry of the roof is by wood, the floors are tiled with beautiful ceramic. For decoration we used mainly bamboo mats, wood and decorative stones.
